WHO WE ARE

GIRA identifies four key objectives, which correspond to our main programming agendas, in executing our mission: simulations, global partnerships, institutional support and financing future leaders.

We are constantly seeking ways to grow and improve this programmatic footprint.

SIMULATIONS

GIRA organizes and executes high-quality, interactive diplomatic and security simulations for middle school, high school, and college students (DistrictMUN, NAIMUN, and NCSC).

INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT

GIRA helps to fund and promote Georgetown University’s premier club for international relations, the Georgetown International Relations Club (GIRC).

The mission of the Georgetown International Relations Association is to design meaningful exchanges that inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders in government, business, and international affairs.

GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS

GIRA offers opportunities for immersion and exchange through cooperation with our international partners, including Alpha Partners Education, Altitude for Education, Nigeria Model United Nations Society, and more.

FINANCING FUTURE LEADERS

GIRA supports Model United Nations and international relations programs around the globe and funds Georgetown University students who wish to pursue internships in the international relations field.
