Due to high demand, all Global Education Grant funds for the 2025-2026 cycle have been distributed to applicants. The FY26 Global Education Grant application cycle will open in Fall 2026.

What is the global education grant?

GIRA's Global Education Grant is a micro-grant program for middle and high schools around the world to support engagement in Model United Nations and international affairs education broadly. Advisors from across the United States and around the world are invited to apply for micro-grants of up to $500 to support any costs associated with Model United Nations programming.

How long is the global education grant cycle?

The Global Education Grant 2025–2026 application cycle will open on August 18, 2025. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until April 1, 2026, or until funds are unavailable, whichever comes first. As of January 12th, 2026, all Global Education Grant funds for the 2025-2026 application cycle have been distributed to applicants.
