GIRA GLOBAL

GIRA Global focuses on bringing GIRA’s mission of youth education in international affairs worldwide, fostering educational and cultural exchanges across the world. We organize and help support high-quality diplomatic simulations and training programs that emphasize debate, diplomacy, and international relations. Through our partnerships with organizations in various countries, GIRA Global provides immersive experiences designed to inspire and empower the next generation of student leaders in global affairs.

PROGRAMS

One of the oldest model UN simulations for students across the world, NAIMUN has grown over the years into a conference which brings together thousands of high delegates from diverse backgrounds. Through our NAIMUN China program, GIRA brings that experience directly to delegates in China in conjunction with our partners at High Leap Education (HLE) over Georgetown’s Spring Break. As one of our longest standing partnerships, the conference is now in its ninth iteration. Gathering delegates from across the region, NAIMUN China has pushed, and will continue to push, delegates to think critically, debate effectively, and negotiate diplomatically in tackling the most pressing issues of the day.

NAIMUN CHINA

GIRA has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Sciences Po Reims, which hosts the Reims International Model United Nations (RIMUN) every Spring. Each year, GIRA sends representatives to help staff the conference, primarily as chairs. As our oldest European partnership, the GIRA-RIMUN collaboration gives members of the GIRA community a wonderful opportunity to engage with students from France and to share their understanding of global affairs through a unique and nuanced lens.

RIMUN

Altitude MUN (AMUN) is an annual conference held in New York City in partnership with Altitude for Leadership. Delegates and staffers travel from all over the world to learn and practice diplomacy, attend skill-building workshops throughout the weekend, and explore New York, a global hub for diplomacy. The conference takes place at the end of April and aims to prepare the next generation of leaders for whatever endeavors lie ahead.

ALTITUDE MUN

For the past 20 years, ScotMUN has been a renowned model United Nations conference in Scotland, hosted by the University of Edinburgh Model United Nations Society. For the first time in 2027, GIRA will have the pleasure of sending staffers to ScotMUN to serve as Committee Chairs. This new partnership will allow GIRA Global to continue advancing its mission of promoting global youth education by sharing our team’s extensive experience, commitment, and passion for Model UN with our partners in Scotland. 

SCOTMUN

Hosted in partnership with Altitude for Leadership, the Model Gulf Cooperation Council (MGCC) will take place in Dubai, UAE, in May or June 2027. The conference will simulate the Gulf Cooperation Council, giving students the opportunity to engage with regional diplomacy and explore some of the most important political, economic, and social issues facing the Gulf. Through debate, negotiation, and collaboration, MGCC aims to promote youth engagement in regional discussions while encouraging delegates to develop a deeper understanding of the Gulf and the role of diplomacy in addressing shared regional challenges.

THINKERS YOUTH SUMMIT MUN (TYSMUN)

TYSMUN is a pioneering model United Nations conference in West Africa, hosted by COYASOR in Monrovia, Liberia for the past seven years. In April 2027, GIRA will partner with the conference for the first time, and we are excited to help create an engaging space where students can practice diplomacy, debate pressing international issues, and strengthen their leadership and cooperation skills. TYSMUN is also an exciting opportunity to expand GIRA Global’s partnerships in Africa and to further our mission of making international affairs education accessible to young people around the world.
